Beginning operations in 1973 and incorporating in 1975, Larkin Contracting, Inc. enjoys the distinction of being one of Florida’s leading turnkey contracting companies. Larkin provides a total commitment to serving the needs of our customers. Our services include complete site development, from clearing through paving, including, but not limited to, all underground utility installation, such as sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water and reclaimed water distributions, fire lines, Tampa Electric conduits and feeders, and a multitude of roadway sleeves.

Larkin’s field operations are led by six specialized superintendents and 37 crew foreman. The balance of our field workers consists of equipment operators, mechanics, drivers and skilled laborers. All of our superintendents and foreman, and many of our operators and laborers have completed the Competent Person Certificate of Completion that is offered by the construction industry. They have also completed the Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector Training and Certification Program (N.P.D.E.S.) that is offered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Larkin’s office staff serves as both the support group for our field operations, as well as the contact for our customers and suppliers. We pride ourselves in being able to assist you with any matter.

Safety is a No. 1 goal at Larkin. Weekly safety meetings are mandatory for all crews and periodic safety classes and seminars are mandatory for all supervisors and foremen. Larkin's Director of Safety & Compliance works full time to assure that the safety is priority.

Larkin has never failed to complete a contract. With contracts ranging from as little as $12,000 to as large as $15,000,000, all of our work is completed on time and to job specifications. Larkin has completed a wide range of site development including single family subdivisions, multi-family apartment complexes, shopping centers, schools, retail stores and business complexes. Larkin was also contracted to work on such specialty jobs as The Florida Aquarium, Busch Gardens - North Veldt, in 1999, and Busch Gardens - Rhino Rally, in 2000.
